ABOUT
DERYL GLAZE

I help people break free from addiction—and build a life they don’t want to escape from. Because recovery is not just about getting clean. It’s about becoming someone new.

I’ve worked with individuals from all walks of life, and I’ve seen a common pattern—when people focus only on recovery, without building a greater purpose, they often find themselves pulled back into the same cycles. That’s why my work goes beyond recovery.

I help people rebuild their lives with clarity, direction, and a reason to move forward.

A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO RECOVERY

Most recovery programs focus on helping you stop. But stopping is only the beginning. True transformation happens when you start building something better.

I work with individuals who are ready to move beyond survival mode and step into a life of purpose, structure, and personal leadership. My approach combines real-world experience, mindset development, and practical life strategies to help you not just stay sober—but actually thrive.

WHY MY WORK MATTERS

Addiction is rarely just about substances—it’s about patterns, identity, and unresolved direction. Without a clear path forward, it’s easy to fall back into familiar habits.

I’ve seen firsthand that lasting recovery requires more than willpower. It requires a shift in identity, your daily habits, and the environment you create for yourself.

Break destructive cycles

Lasting change begins by identifying and interrupting the patterns that keep you stuck. I help you recognize the triggers, behaviors, and thought loops that lead back to addiction—and then replace them with healthier, more intentional responses. This isn’t about willpower alone; it’s about building awareness and creating new patterns that support long-term freedom.

Build structure and accountability

Recovery without structure often leads back to uncertainty. I help you establish daily routines, clear expectations, and consistent habits that create stability. Through ongoing accountability, I help you stay focused, follow through on your commitments, and build the discipline needed to move forward—even on the difficult days.

Develop a clear vision for their future

Without a compelling reason to move forward, it’s easy to fall back into the past. I help you define what you truly want your life to look like—personally, professionally, and relationally. That vision becomes the foundation for your decisions, keeping you aligned with who you’re becoming, not who you used to be.

Replace old habits with purposeful action

It’s not enough to remove negative behaviors—you have to replace them with something meaningful. I help you intentionally fill your time and energy with actions that build confidence, direction, and momentum. Every step forward is designed to reinforce a new identity—one rooted in purpose, growth, and progress.

MY PATH INTO THIS WORK WASN'T TRADITIONAL

I transitioned from a career in mortgage banking into recovery coaching more than 17 years ago—and what started as a career quickly became a calling.

Today, I serve as a Program Manager at Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, working directly with individuals who are fighting to reclaim their lives and take back control of their futures.

In addition to my work in recovery, I am a licensed minister of the Gospel and a motivational speaker within the national addiction and recovery community.

Through speaking, coaching, and my platform Motivation Through Recovery, I share a message that is both practical and deeply personal.

Recovery is possible—but transformation is where real freedom begins.Recovery is possible-but transformation is the goal.
